The Acid Foam Control Unit, operating with WSA wet acid technology, is able to effectively improve the efficiency of acid condensation. Its operating principle is as follows: the combustion of silicone oil produces its particles, which are completely mixed with the process gas through a high-efficiency mixer installed on the process pipe between the converter and the condenser, and then jointly fed into the condenser.
When the process gas is cooled and condensed in the condenser, the silicone oil particles generated by the acid foam control unit act as crystallization centers to condense gaseous H₂SO₄ into a liquid state. This not only greatly improves the condensation efficiency of the condenser, but also effectively reduces the amount of acidic H₂SO₄ foams leaving the condenser together with the process gas.
