WSA Catalyst

The WSA catalyst is formulated for wet-process sulfuric acid service and is designed for gas streams with high water-vapour content. Its open geometry provides a large effective surface area, low pressure drop and stable performance in WSA converters.

Description

This catalyst is designed to support the conversion of sulfur dioxide (SO₂) to sulfur trioxide (SO₃) under wet-process sulfuric acid operating conditions. The catalyst structure provides a high effective surface area and low pressure drop across the converter bed.

Catalyst grade and loading should be selected against the inlet gas composition, moisture and dust content, operating-temperature range, allowable pressure drop and required SO₂ conversion efficiency.
