Features of technology

The “HD-WSA” technology package for producing sulfuric acid from sulfur-containing gases using the wet process, developed by Hunan Chenwei Environmental Engineering, is designed to treat sulfur-containing compounds including H₂S, SO₂, CS₂, COS, and others. The technology package features a high thermal energy recovery rate in its system equipment; water-gas or molten salt is used as the heat carrier, enabling the production of high-quality steam suitable for power generation or heating applications. If customers have stricter requirements regarding emissions of condensed process gas, the Hunan Chenwei technology package allows for advanced environmental treatment of the condensed process gas. As a result, the concentration of sulfur dioxide (SO₂) in exhaust gases released into the environment is controlled below 35 mg/m³ (under standard conditions), while the concentration of sulfuric acid mist (H₂SO₄) remains below 5 mg/m³ (under standard conditions).

  1. The sulfur extraction rate exceeds 99%, the emissions of sulfur dioxide (SO₂) in the exhaust gases are controlled within the established emission standards.
  1. Production of commercial grade sulfuric acid with a concentration of more than 97%.
